Making an appointment with your Dublin Psychotherapist and Counsellor (01-2147613)
If you wish to make an initial appointment with an experienced and caring Dublin counsellor/psychotherapist you can contact me, Anne-Marie, by phone or by e-mail. Following this initial contact an appointment is made for a suitable time. This will give you an opportunity to ask any questions or discuss any queries that you may have.
The first session is a consultation where the issues that bring you into therapy are discussed and the process of therapy clarified. This consultation will help you decide if you want to start therapy. It is an opportunity for you to meet me and decide if you feel comfortable and ready to continue. This session is 60 minutes in duration.
During this time I will assess the problem that has brought you into therapy, decide on the best approach and discuss a possible timeframe for the work. I will also discuss what is realistically achievable in that time. There is a fee for this session but there is no obligation to continue. If you decide to continue I will discuss the Client Agreement Form which outlines details such as my cancellation policy, confidentiality and commitment to the process. It is also important to agree on a time that suits so that you can commit to weekly sessions.
